This policy explains, in plain English, what happens to any information you share with this website. It is deliberately short, because this site does very little with your data.

Scott Charnley Consultancy Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 14926863. We are the data controller for this website. You can reach us at enquiries@scottcharnley.com.
What we collect
When you get in touch. If you use the enquiry form or email us, we receive the details you choose to send: your name, email address, business name and your message. The enquiry form simply opens your own email application with those details filled in, so your message comes to us as an ordinary email. It is not stored on this website.
Technical logs. Like any website, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type and the pages you requested. This is used only to keep the site secure and working.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or analytics trackers. Nothing here follows you around the internet.
How we use your information
We use the details you send solely to respond to your enquiry and, if we go on to work together, to carry out that work. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone's marketing.
Who processes it for us
Our email and hosting providers process data on our behalf so the site and our correspondence can function, including our hosting provider, 20i. We do not share your information with anyone else unless we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as we need it to reply and to carry out any work that follows, after which it is deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Just email enquiries@scottcharnley.com. If you are not happy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we update this policy, the date at the top will change to show when it was last revised.
