Website rebuild

Website rebuild: scope and terms

What £1,000 buys (fixed price)

  1. An audit of the current site: every page, which pages rank on Google, and which appear in AI answers.
  2. A rebuild of up to 20 pages as a static website, in the client's current design (or modelled on a site they like, using their own brand, words and images).
  3. Every ranking page kept at its address; any page that moves gets a permanent (301) redirect.
  4. Semantic HTML, schema.org markup for the business, page titles and descriptions, canonical addresses, a sitemap, security headers, and an llms.txt summary.
  5. Forms that email the client.
  6. Hosting on Cloudflare in the client's own account at no extra cost until the site needs a paid plan, or upload to the client's current host. The domain stays the client's; the site can move to another host at any time.
  7. The ability to swap images, edit text, and add pages and blog posts.
  8. One round of changes after the client sees the rebuilt site, before launch.

Not included (quoted separately)

  • More than 20 pages (blog posts count as pages).
  • Online shops, bookings, payments, member logins or other systems.
  • Writing new content, new photography, a new logo or a new design.
  • Changes after the round above, or after launch (website care covers one new page or post a month).
  • Fixing problems caused by third-party services (email, domain registrar, payment providers).

What the client provides

Access to the current site, domain (DNS) and any analytics or Search Console accounts, and answers to questions within 5 working days. Work pauses while we wait.

The speed guarantee

We test the homepage with Google's PageSpeed Insights mobile test when work starts and again at launch, taking the middle score of three runs each time. If the new homepage scores lower, the client doesn't pay. Homepage only.

Payment

50% to start, 50% at launch.

Website care: £100 a month, monthly, cancel with one month's notice.

Ownership

The client owns the finished website and its content once paid. We may show the work as an example only with the client's written permission (clients are never named otherwise).
